چکیده

Functional materials with circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) have attracted tremendous attention due to their promising applications in three-dimensional displays, chiral recognition and catalysis, photoelectronic devices, contrast imaging, information encryption, other fields. Among various CPL-active materials, polymeric systems aggregation-induced emission (AIE) emerged as excellent candidates because of efficient aggregate-state fluorescence, large solid-state dissymmetry factor, processibility, diversified self-assembly behaviors, readily switchable CPL properties. This review summarizes discusses the recent progress well future perspective diverse AIE polymer CPL, including covalent polymers, supramolecular AIEgen/polymer composites CPL. According location or introduction method AIEgen structures, this further divides polymers into three categories, main chains, side clusterization-triggered emission. are discussed based on driving force for formation host–guest interactions, metal coordination, non-covalent interactions. Moreover, examples construction by physically mixing AIEgens (supra)polymers also presented. is anticipated provide readers an overall view design strategies facilitate research development advanced applications.

Helically assembled π-conjugated polymers with circularly polarized luminescence

We review the recent progress in the field of helically assembled π-conjugated polymers, focusing on aromatic conjugated polymers with interchain helical π-stacking that exhibit circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). In Part 1, we discuss optically active polymers with white-colored CPL and the amplification of the circular polarization through liquid crystallinity. In Part 2, we focus on the...

Thermally activated delayed fluorescence with circularly polarized luminescence characteristics.

A metal-free aromatic compound with a chiral carbon sandwiched between a donor moiety and an acceptor moiety was designed. Under thermally activated delayed fluorescence, the compound displayed a photoluminescence quantum yield of 26%, and showed circularly polarized luminescence with a dissymmetry factor of 10(-3).

Simulation of circularly polarized luminescence spectra using coupled cluster theory.

We report the first computations of circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) rotatory strengths at the equation-of-motion coupled cluster singles and doubles (EOM-CCSD) level of theory. Using a test set of eight chiral ketones, we compare both dipole and rotatory strengths for absorption (electronic circular dichroism) and emission to the results from time-dependent density-functional theory (TD...

Chiral sensing for induced circularly polarized luminescence using an Eu(III)-containing polymer and D- or L-proline.

An Eu(III)-containing polymer can exhibit intense induced circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in the presence of proline. In addition, the optical anisotropy factor (g(lum)) of the polymer for (5)D0 → (7)F1/(7)F2 transition was much higher than that of a single model molecule, which reveals the amplification effect of CPL arising from the conjugated polymer structure.

Discovery of Circularly Polarized Radio Emission from SS 433.

We report the discovery of circularly polarized radio emission from the radio-jet X-ray binary SS 433 with the Australia Telescope Compact Array. The flux density spectrum of the circular polarization, clearly detected at four frequencies between 1 and 9 GHz, is of the form V~nu-0.9+/-0.1. Multiple components in the source and a lack of very high spatial resolution do not allow a unique determi...
